Year 6 will be completing homework from the SATS Booster Books provided by school (Reading, Maths and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling).  Children working towards Greater Depth will have both the standard and stretch/advanced book.

All homework will be given out on a Friday and pupils will note down the pages to be completed in their blue homework diary. Please the see the table below for when homework is due in:

MONDAY

TUESDAY

Spellings will be given weekly. Children will be given 8 spellings to learn and when tested given 2 extra that follow the rule we have been learning – this gives them chance to apply their learning. On the weeks when words from the statutory list for KS2 are to be learnt 10 words will be sent home.  The new scheme allows for lots of practise time in school as well as at home – we have been learning different ways to do this. Children can practise their spellings any way they wish eg: orally, rainbow, pyramid, using ketchup, etc

Can you read and spell all these KS2 words? KEEP PRACTISING!!
