Welcome

Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of all the staff, pupils and governors, I would like to welcome you to St Mary’s R.C. Primary School website. We hope our website is both informative and provides an insight into the caring Christian community we endeavour to create here at St Mary’s.

Our school is situated in the small village of Osbaldeston in the beautiful Ribble Valley. At St Mary’s, our mission is to provide a happy, safe and inspiring environment in which all members of the school community live by the values of Christ. We pride ourselves on placing our pupils’ needs at the heart of our work and strive to establish firm and lifelong foundations whereby pupils’ thrive so that they can fulfill their potential and become the best version of themselves.

St Mary’s provides a school community in which everyone is valued and welcomed and Jesus is placed at the centre of all that it does. It is a school where children can grow and develop as individuals within a flourishing Catholic environment.

Year 6 Pupil's Welcome

Welcome to Saint Marys RC Primary school’s website. On our website you will find out more about the amazing things that we do at our lovely school, and the challenges we face in our learning.

In our school we have an amazing Buddy system. Each child has a special friend they call a Buddy, we spend time together each week and take care of each other during the school day.

We have spent time learning about the UN Child Rights, which are displayed around school. We have elected our pupil council who make sure that we are listened to and our views are respected. We also have a mission team, who work hard to help us follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

We are lucky to be close to our lovely church, where we attend mass with school each term. Father Leo loves to hear us sing, he makes us laugh. We take part in class assemblies regularly and celebrate Easter and Christmas with very special performances in Church and in our lovely hall.

There are lots of school clubs we can join, like the STEM club, Sports Club and our most recent club our choir group.

We would love you to come and visit our school!
