Our Pre and Pre-Pre School Children focus on Phase 1 Phonics (image below). They develop their listening skills, recognising environments sounds, exploring rhythm and rhyme, and beginning to hear sounds in words.
Phonics in Reception:
In Reception, Children learn to recognise letters and correspoding sounds. They practise blending sounds together to read words and segmenting words into sounds to support their spelling and reading.
