The Governors of St Mary’s R.C. Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to develop our outstanding early years provision while inspiring young learners and delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
Do you have a passion for nurturing young minds and creating a love of learning from the very beginning? We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing teacher to join our EYFS team as our class teacher. Our EYFS class has 17 children age 3-5 years old.
As our EYFS Teacher, you will:
• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a warm, inclusive and stimulating environment where every child feels valued.
• Foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence through play-based learning.
• Work closely with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child’s development
The successful candidate will:
• Inspire our pupils, communicating the ethos of our Roman Catholic school, nurturing and encouraging a love of learning.
• Be patient and kind, and having a sense of fun is essential.
• Have sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
• Have experience of working in an EYFS setting.
• Be a caring and inspiring educator who values each child’s unique journey.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Be able to take direction and contribute ideas
There will be an observation for candidates who are successful at the application stage and invitation to interviews will follow.

This is a full time temporary post initially for 1 year with potential to extend dependant on school structures.

Essential Qualifications
• You must hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS) Desirable Qualifications
• Paediatric First Aid Level 3
Essential Experience
• Experience of working with Pre-school or Primary aged children
• Experience of providing a high quality learning environment
• Experience of identifying the needs of all learners
• Experience of planning and delivering a play based active curriculum using continuous provision
Desirable Experience
• Experience of assessing using the EYFS framework
