Phonics at St. Mary's

At St. Mary's we use Phonics Bug and our reading books use electronic books allocated from Phonics Bug from Pearson - www.bugclub.co.uk 

each child has an individual log in and the books are allocated by teachers to ensure they closely match the sounds the children have been learning.

In EYFS & KS1 guided reading we use Dandelion Readers to closely match phonics sounds for children but giving them the opportunity to read in small groups.

We also follow the  Collins Big Cat books for when our children become more competent readers, before moving on to free readers from home or from our extensive school library.
