Homework

Homework Information

Class 3 homework will be given out on Friday and is to be handed in on the following Thursday

Reading

Make sure you read your home-reader book at least three times a week – if possible every night. Two house-points are awarded to you each time you read. Can you get to the next level on your home-reader challenge?

Spelling

Please learn your spellings for Friday’s test. Use a dictionary to check any meanings that you are unsure of. You could use the ‘Spelling Menu’ for fun ideas of ways of learning your spellings each week. You will be provided with a spelling sheet each week.

Times Tables Olympics and Rock Stars

In Class 3 we are taking part in a Times Tables Olympics, with medals ranging from ‘Finalist’ to ‘Platinum’. Depending on your current level, I will set your Times Tables Rock Stars accordingly. Times tables are so important so please ensure that you practise these each week. We will have our Times Tables Olympics Quiz on a Friday and you will take the sheet home to help you practise. How quickly can you move up the medal table?

Hit the Button

Keep on practising those key mental maths skills on Hit the Button.

English and Maths

Each week I will set an English and Maths homework sheet to be completed.

Homework Grid

This year, each class is being given an optional Homework Grid. Have a look through and have a go at any additional home-learning challenges that you wish to.
