Blackburn Hawks Ice Hockey Match

We were lucky enough to have a visit from one of the Blackburn Hawks players in school. He told us about his career, his injuries, the sacrifices he made over the years and gave us chance to practise hitting the puck too! Their team mascot came to join us for the morning too, and we were offered tickets for one of their matches at a discounted price. Over 100 tickets were bought from St Mary's alone and when I went to the match it looked like a whole school trip! So thank you very much to all of the parents/grandparents/carers who supported the event and encouraged your child's interest in the sport. Here are a few photos of the brilliant event!

Diversity Week

What a fabulous week we have had learning all about India and some of the world religions. Here are some of the photos from the many events and activities throughout this week, including Rangoli art, traditional stories, dancing, drumming and an Indian lunch.
